​​Great Lakes Kiln Drying Association

Join us for the Great Lakes Kiln Drying Association’s 2025 Fall Meeting at UW Kemp Natural Resources Station in Woodruff, WI. This year’s Fall Meeting will offer an opportunity to experience and stay in an affordable and rustic log lodge onsite at Kemp Station on the shores of Lake Tomahawk. You are welcome to arrive the night before the meetings on Wednesday October 22nd.


Thursday morning we will travel to Antigo to tour Kretz Lumber, then head over to Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and visit their Sawmill Program. Lunch will be served by BB Jack’s Pizza at NTC. After lunch, we will travel to Ahlstrom Papermill in Rhinelander. Following the tours, we will all gather for “Stress Relief” and dinner at Kemp Station to catch up with friends, colleagues, and our meeting sponsors.


Friday will feature several informative topics related to the lumber industry. Matt Bumgardner, with the U.S. Forest Service will discuss Lumber Market Updates, Scott Bowe, Professor at UW Kemp Natural Resources and Scott Lyon with the WI DNR will talk on practical studies in wood and Patrick Rappold, from the U.S. Forest Service will share information on USDA grants that are available.


The Fall Meeting is a great opportunity for mem-bers and prospective members to network and learn about each other’s businesses and new things happening in our industry. We look forward to seeing you in October!
